1. Seller Information
These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all purchases made through the Hēgemôn online store.

2. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of Hēgemôn products made through the website to consumers.
Before completing an order, the customer must read and accept these Terms and Conditions. Placing an order constitutes full acceptance of the version in force on the date of purchase.
Hēgemôn may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders already confirmed.
3. Products
Hēgemôn offers contemporary art T-shirts featuring historical artworks and original graphic compositions.
The essential characteristics of each product, including the material, fabric weight, fit, available sizes, printing technique, artwork and care instructions, are displayed on the relevant product page.
Product photographs and mock-ups are provided for illustrative purposes. Hēgemôn makes reasonable efforts to represent each product accurately, but slight differences may occur due to screen settings, lighting, fabric texture and the production process.
Minor differences in colour, print placement or dimensions that do not affect the normal use of the product are not necessarily considered defects.
4. Product Availability
Products are offered subject to availability and production capacity.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, Hēgemôn will contact the customer as soon as possible. The customer may choose between an alternative product, where available, or a full refund of the unavailable item.
5. Prices
Product prices are displayed in euros and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
The price charged is the price displayed at the time the customer confirms the order.
Worldwide standard shipping is included where expressly stated on the product page.
Any customs duties, import taxes or local charges that are not collected during checkout may remain payable by the customer, where permitted by applicable law. This paragraph should be removed if Hēgemôn guarantees that all such charges are included.
Hēgemôn reserves the right to change prices at any time, without affecting orders already confirmed.
6. Orders
The customer selects the product, size and quantity before proceeding to checkout.
Before confirming the order, the customer must carefully check:
- the selected product;
- the selected size;
- the quantity;
- the billing details;
- the shipping address;
- the total price.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and complete.
An order becomes final when payment has been successfully authorised and the customer receives an order confirmation.
Hēgemôn reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of suspected fraud, payment irregularity, abusive behaviour, manifest pricing error or previous unresolved payment dispute.
7. Payment
Payment is due in full when the order is placed.
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout and may include payment cards, digital wallets and other payment methods supported by Shopify or its payment providers.
Payments are processed through secure, encrypted third-party payment systems. Hēgemôn does not directly store complete payment-card details.
If payment is rejected or cancelled, the order will not be processed.
8. Production
Certain products are produced or printed after an order has been confirmed.
The production process may begin shortly after payment. Production after purchase does not, by itself, remove the customer’s statutory right of withdrawal where the product is a standard item rather than a genuinely personalised item.
Customers should therefore contact Hēgemôn as quickly as possible if they notice an error in their order. Hēgemôn cannot guarantee that an order can be modified once production has started.
9. Delivery
Worldwide shipping is included with every order where indicated on the product page.
Hēgemôn works with international carriers and local delivery partners selected according to the destination. Hēgemôn monitors shipments internally throughout their journey, although a customer-facing tracking number may not always be available.
Estimated delivery times are:
- France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia: approximately 6–12 business days;
- Other destinations: approximately 6–30 business days.
These delivery times are estimates and may be affected by production times, customs procedures, local carrier delays, public holidays, weather conditions or other circumstances outside Hēgemôn’s reasonable control.
The seller must nevertheless provide and respect a delivery date or delivery period.
10. Incorrect or Incomplete Shipping Address
The customer must provide a complete and accurate shipping address.
If the order cannot be delivered because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, failed to collect the parcel or refused delivery without a lawful reason, any additional reshipping costs may be charged to the customer.
Hēgemôn will not provide an automatic free replacement solely because the customer selected or entered an incorrect address.
This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where the delivery failure is attributable to Hēgemôn or its delivery partners.
11. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason.
To exercise this right, the customer must send Hēgemôn an unambiguous withdrawal request before the end of the 14-day period by email to:
The customer may use the withdrawal form provided at the end of these Terms and Conditions, but its use is not mandatory. French law permits either the standard form or another clear written statement expressing the decision to withdraw.
The product must then be returned within 14 days of the withdrawal notification.
12. Return Conditions
Customers may exercise their statutory right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days of receiving the product by sending a clear request to hegemonofficial@gmail.com. The product must then be returned within 14 days of notifying Hēgemôn of the withdrawal.
Returned products must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged and free from stains, odours, hair or other signs of use. The original labels must remain attached, and the product should be returned in its original packaging where reasonably possible.
Except where the product is damaged, defective, misprinted, incorrect or otherwise non-compliant, the customer is responsible for the direct return shipping costs. Hēgemôn does not provide free returns, free exchanges or free replacements when the customer has selected the wrong product or size.
Returns must be sent to the address communicated by Hēgemôn after the withdrawal request has been accepted. Customers should not return a product without first contacting customer support.
Hēgemôn may reduce the refund if the product has lost value because it was handled beyond what was necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and fit.
13. Return Shipping Costs
Except where the product is damaged, defective, misprinted, incorrect or otherwise non-compliant, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product.
Hēgemôn does not provide prepaid return labels, free returns or free exchanges for a change of mind, an incorrect size selection or another customer selection error.
The customer must use a suitable shipping service and keep proof of dispatch until the refund has been completed. Hēgemôn cannot be held responsible for a return parcel that is lost or damaged before reaching the designated return address.
The customer must be informed before placing the order that return shipping costs are their responsibility. Otherwise, Hēgemôn may be required to bear those costs.
This section does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where the product is defective, incorrect or not in conformity with the order.
14. Refunds Following Withdrawal
When the right of withdrawal has been validly exercised, Hēgemôn will refund the sums legally due, including the original standard delivery cost where separately charged.
The refund may be withheld until Hēgemôn has received the returned product or the customer has supplied proof that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
Additional delivery costs resulting from a customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery method than the standard option are not refundable.
15. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised for that individual customer.
A standard Hēgemôn design printed after an order is placed should not be described as personalised solely because it is produced on demand. The exception should only be relied upon for genuine individual customisation.
16. Wrong Size or Customer Selection Error
Customers are asked to consult the product measurements and select their usual size for the intended regular fit.
Where a standard product is eligible for the statutory right of withdrawal, choosing the wrong size does not eliminate that right. However:
- Hēgemôn is not required to provide a free replacement because the customer selected the wrong size;
- the customer may exercise the right of withdrawal within the legal period;
- return shipping costs may remain payable by the customer;
- a new size may need to be ordered separately.
17. Damaged, Defective, Misprinted or Incorrect Products
If a product arrives damaged, defective, misprinted or different from the item ordered, the customer should contact Hēgemôn as soon as possible and preferably within 30 days of delivery.
The customer should provide:
- the order number;
- a description of the issue;
- clear photographs;
- a short video where reasonably necessary.
Requests may be sent by email to hegemonofficial@gmail.com or initially reported through Instagram at @hegemon.official. Email should remain the formal contact method.
Once the issue has been reviewed, Hēgemôn may provide a replacement, repair, price reduction or refund, depending on the nature of the problem and the customer’s statutory rights.
The 30-day reporting procedure does not reduce or replace the customer’s legal guarantees.
18. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
Hēgemôn is liable for conformity defects existing at delivery that become apparent within two years from delivery.
For a new product, the customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity for two years. The seller may be required to replace or otherwise bring the product into conformity and, where the legal conditions are met, provide a price reduction or refund.
The legal guarantee applies independently of any optional commercial policy offered by Hēgemôn.
19. Hidden Defects Guarantee
The customer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under applicable French law.
A hidden defect is a defect that was not apparent at the time of purchase and that makes the product unfit for its intended use or substantially reduces its usefulness.
The customer must generally act within two years of discovering the hidden defect.
20. Care and Improper Use
The customer must follow the care instructions provided with the product or displayed on the product page.
Hēgemôn is not responsible for damage caused by:
- washing at an unsuitable temperature;
- bleaching;
- tumble drying where prohibited;
- ironing directly over the printed artwork;
- improper storage;
- accidental damage;
- normal wear and tear;
- use inconsistent with the nature of the garment.
This clause does not exclude liability for an original defect or non-conformity.
21. Intellectual Property
All Hēgemôn branding, visual compositions, logos, photographs, written content, graphic layouts and product presentations are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing a product does not grant the customer any right to reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Hēgemôn’s protected designs.
Certain historical artworks may be in the public domain. However, Hēgemôn’s specific crop, layout, typography, orange framing and overall product composition may remain protected.

Personal data is processed for purposes including order management, payment, fraud prevention, production, delivery, customer support and legal compliance.

23. Force Majeure
Hēgemôn shall not be liable for a delay or failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, strikes, transport disruption, customs delays, cyber incidents, epidemics or governmental restrictions.
This clause does not remove any mandatory consumer rights.
24. Customer Support and Complaints

25. Consumer Mediation
Before contacting a mediator, the customer must first submit a written complaint to Hēgemôn.
If the dispute remains unresolved, the customer may contact the consumer mediator appointed by Hēgemôn:

26. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Consumers residing in another country retain any mandatory consumer rights granted by the law applicable in their country of residence.
The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of the right to bring proceedings before a court having jurisdiction under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
27. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
28. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with the order confirmation, product description, Legal Notice, Privacy Policy and applicable returns information, constitute the contractual framework governing the sale.
